Rob Glanville

Mr. Glanville currently serves as the managing member of REG Consulting LLC, a financial advisory business. Mr. Glanville was a founding partner and served as the co-lead managing director for the financial services investment team of Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC, a private equity firm that managed in excess of $4 billion in AUM, from 2006 to 2015. While at Pine Brook, Mr. Glanville led Pine Brook’s founding investment in Essent (NYSE:ESNT), a highly profitable mortgage insurer where Mr. Glanville served as a director from 2007 to 2025, led Pine Brook’s founding investment in Aurigen, a Canada-focused life reinsurance company, and participated in Pine Brook’s investment in Global Atlantic, the spin-out of Goldman Sachs’ life insurance business.  Mr. Glanville currently serves as a director and/or advisor of At-Bay Specialty Insurance Company, Cornerstone Financial,  CrossCover Insurance Services, MicroInsurance, Commercial-Industrial Associates,  Nice Recovery Systems, ExaValu and Agritecture, all of which are private companies, and as an advisor to Gallatin Point Capital, New Mountain Capital, Aquiline Capital Partners and Great Hill Partners.  Cornerstone Financial originates long duration low LTV home equity instrument financing for retirement-in-place life and long term care insurance policies.  

From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Glanville was senior vice president, financial and treasury services for Arch Capital Group, Ltd., an insurance and reinsurance company, where he led the formation and capitalization of Flatiron Re, still the largest collateralized CAT reinsurance vehicle, in the aftermath of Katrina-Rita-Wilma. From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Glanville was employed by Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm. Before joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Glanville founded FA Services, an emerging markets financial services and investment boutique based in Moscow and in Prague. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Glanville worked in New York and Tokyo for Morgan Stanley, an investment banking firm, specializing in corporate finance and M&A. Mr. Glanville holds an AB in American history from Princeton University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and where he was the recipient of the history department’s prize for his senior thesis regarding the Manhattan Project and the Truman Administration’s decision to utilize atomic bombs against Japan in the context of the Scientists’ Movement.
