Thomas currently serves as the CEO of FG Re Solutions Ltd and Sr Advisor to Awn Risk Holdings. Immediately prior to that, he was CEO of Insurance Income Strategies, a Bermuda based property catastrophe reinsurer, specializing in the Industry Loss Warranty (“ILW”) market and CEO of FG Reinsurance Ltd, a Cayman based Class B (iii) insurer. Mr. Heise also serves as the Non-Executive Director of Akinova(Bermuda) Ltd, an Insurance Marketplace Provider. AkinovA is a digital risk trading Insurtech start-up with a digital platform for trading insurance and reinsurance risks and Legacy Liability Solutions Ltd. that offers proven solutions that end your corporate mass tort exposure and liabilities.

Prior to these roles, Mr. Heise served as a Sr. Consultant, Corporate Recovery Services at Arthur Andersen & Co from 1991-93. Then, he served as the VP of Mergers and Acquisitions at Near North National Group 1994. In 1995 until 2000, Mr. Heise was the Director of Reinsurance & Financial Planning for American International Group, Inc. Mr. Heise was the President and Founder of BCOE (a Market created to trade insurance risk, regulated by the BMA, and subject of Harvard Business School case 9-298-073). From 2000-03, Mr. Heise co-founded and served as President of Rivenet.com, which was a technology-advanced company was created to connect financial institutions and corporations through a proprietary network which seamlessly administers deferred compensation plans and the financial and insurance products that fund them. Rivenet.com received patent application number (USPA #20020032639) for a system and method for identifying compensation plans. In 2006, Mr. Heise cofounded of CatamarcaInsurance Solutions, which specialized in collateralized reinsurance. He also served as a Director of Horseshoe Management (Ireland) Ltd. From 2011-15. 

Mr. Heise has also been a registered person with FINRA and the Central Bank of Ireland.  

Mr. Heise earned a B.A. in History from Northwestern Universityin 1991. 

Mr. Heise was Academic All-Big Ten (Basketball) 1990-91.
